As soon as the meeting was over, Shawn rushed out and ran into the person he’d hoped to avoid. Not because he didn’t want to see him, but because of the chaos that would follow their explanation of how they knew one another.
“Dr. Spencer.” Dr. Reid said with a crooked grin.
“Dr. Spencer …” Shawn paused for dramatic effect, “Reid.”
They stared at each other for a solid minute, the crooked grin never leaving Reid’s face while Shawn fought not to copy it. The grin grew wider when the corners of Shawn’s lips twitched.
