And maybe it’s that easy. That easy to forget about his father howling at his mother who had dropped the kettle to her feet, that easy to erase the aghast expressions of terror on his siblings’ faces, and that easy to have the 17 years’ worth of self-loathing and disgust to dissipate down the drain.
Maybe it’s that easy, because he likes it.
