Summary
“You need me to do what?!” Lexa sat up, throwing the blankets off in sheer surprise.
Clarke raised her head from the pillow, eyes half-shut from sleep, blonde hair falling over her bare shoulders. Lexa would love to roll over her and kiss the back of her neck, but unfortunately, she had a pressing issue to see to. As always. Such was her life.
The unusual thing being, the problem was of a personal nature.

Summary
The last Lexa heard, Clarke was going into space with her friends to stay safe from the radiation.
Clarke had wanted to take her chances on the ground … to see if the nightblood serum she’d injected herself with had worked and then go back to the bunker after the death wave had passed.
But Lexa wouldn’t hear of it.
Clarke going into space would mean that they would never see each other again.
But it was also Clarke’s *best* chance of survival. And Lexa had made her swear she would go to keep herself safe … Made her promise she would leave with her friends.
Clarke was crying when she’d made that promise over the radio … and so was Lexa. That was just minutes before the death wave hit Polis. Before the bunker lost communication with Becca’s lab entirely.
But Clarke had lied.
