JJ moved to high five her and Kie out of pity joined in. She had to steer him towards the car firmly when he had started shouting and protesting he could walk to the kegger instead. For a second, she was tempted to just let him have his way. Leave him behind and drive herself there for a great evening. Then she watched him struggle to open the truck door for a full minute, deciding it would probably be considered man slaughter if she left him unattended. She swore at John B in her head. It was after all by his proxy that JJ had smashed his way into her life.
" JJ, it's pull not push." Kie sighed as she watched him try again.

Since we’ve almost died multiple times because of bullshit treasure hunts, he thinks. But instead he says, “I dunno Kie. Something ain’t right with that one. I’m game for whatever you guys are. Never say no to more money I guess since that’s all we care about now.”

This picks up at the end of the S3 finale. The gang just was recruited to go after Blackbeard’s treasure (which is actually super fitting for NC). Of all the Pogues, JJ is the most nervous. The last 18 months were not the dream he thought they’d be after making it rich. Just when he thinks it couldn’t get worse, it does.
