“Oh my god,” Yeonjun interrupted, exasperation mixing with something warm and unsteady, “are you actually jealous?”
Soobin went very still. The tips of his ears burned red.
“Of course not,” He stopped, exhaled, and then looked Yeonjun dead in the eye. “It’s just—” Soobin swallowed, glancing over his shoulder like he was checking that none of the engineers were paying attention. “I don’t like seeing you in his number.”
Yeonjun tried and failed to smother a laugh. “You’re ridiculous.”
Soobin stepped closer, close enough that the faint synthetic scent of his fireproofs and helmet cleaner reached Yeonjun’s nose.
“What?” He asked, oblivious.
“Take it off.”
Yeonjun gaped at him. “Excuse me?”
“Take it off,” he repeated.
Yeonjun stared at him, heat rising up the back of his neck so fast he thought he might actually pass out.
“Soobin,” His voice came out thin and incredulous. “I am not taking my shirt off in the middle of your garage.”Or, the fastest pilot in motorsport and the most gifted figure skater alive never meant to fall in love. But somewhere along the way, it stopped feeling like just friendship.

Taehyun can’t help but laugh. “No, actually, you’re the delusional one here. Yeonjun and Soobin love each other, and I can feel it through the screen. But I don’t need to rely on vibes, they’ve said they love each other countless times in interviews.”
Beomgyu runs a hand down his face before whispering, “I can’t believe he assigned me to this with a yeonbin shipper.”
“And I can’t believe you’re denying what they’ve said themselves to believe some bitter ex-trainees.”
“It’s the truth!” Beomgyu slams his fist down on the table, and it looks so out of character for him, with his beige cardigan and soft brown hair. But then Taehyun remembers his articles, and it clears his mind. “Trust me, I would know.”

Taehyun has one job; expose Choi Yeonjun's secret relationship with fellow idol Choi Soobin. With just a few hours of research, he's already their biggest shipper. There's just one problem. He's got to investigate their relationship with someone from the downstairs office, someone who strongly believes the two hate each other.

Summary
What was Yeonjun to Soobin? Quite frankly, Soobin didn't know how to answer that question. Perhaps, Yeonjun was a part of his life so crucial that couldn't be taken away. Sometimes, Soobin thought if Yeonjun felt the same and that whatever connection between them was not simply by chance and because of work. Sometimes, Soobin thought if they were destined to meet, or maybe even, in a kinder world, they'd be able to see each other casually without the circumstances they're under. Sometimes, Soobin thought if they would be able to exist out of their life that day.
