When he opened them, the light was gone. So was the humming. So was Matt.

Kingpin is planning something. A lonely warehouse. A looming machine. The ticking of time passing by. Wilson Fisk is never quiet for long, so whatever comes next is to be feared - and to be stopped.
But Matt finds himself far too far from Hell's Kitchen to help.
Stranded in Gotham, the red devil needs to figure out a way back, and a way to stop Kingpin's plans. But his own efforts stall as he runs into one too many rich socialites, unfamiliar villains, and brooding bats.
Being on the receiving end of a vigilante's territorialism doesn't help matters.

Matt frowns, head tilting. "Did the portal teleport us to a different part of the city?" Peter presses his lips into a thin line, rubbing the back of his head in thought.
Strange said it was meant to send the other versions of him back to their rightful universes — but what did that mean for someone who was already in their universe?

Summary
It had been a long and difficult 27 years since the Hail Mary had launched. Not as terrible as it could have been, but not easy. Humanity had survived and adapted, as it always did. There had been terrible wars. There had been incredible acts of kindness. There had been massive scientific breakthroughs. And now, there were two distant blips of Petrova-light, picked up by the Deep Space Network, hurtling home. Two probes, braking hard as they hurtled toward Earth holding the secrets to its salvation. They were late, or at least, not very early, but they were here.
Grace may have made his peace with dying to save Rocky, but Rocky insists they return to Earth.

Rocky. I can’t put this all on the guy right now. He should be happy. We are going to Erid. We are going to save his planet.
“CBC. A complete blood count.” I answer, hoping he doesn’t ask me why.
“Purpose, question?”
Rocky, please. I’m trying to spare you right now.
Basically, Grace gets exposed to a dangerous amount of radiation during an EVA and doesn't want to tell Rocky bc of what happened to Rocky's crew <3
THIS IS A REWORKED VERSION OF "TEMPEST" - after some comments, I wanted to keep the soul of the story, but make it more scientifically plausible. While there are still probably some inaccuracies, I still hope this isn't as messy as before.
