Mike jolted and grabbed her as she fell, and without really thinking, she latched onto her friend and hid her face in his shoulder.
Billy was dead.
Billy was really dead.
Mike’s arms wrapped around her after a few seconds, his chin now resting on her shoulder as she sobbed into his.
It felt like she was dying.
