Summary
When Kaladin is nearly drowned in the well during the occupation of Urithiru, Leshwi knows that The Pursuer is close to catching him. Determined to save him, Leshwi finds Kaladin first and claims him as a Spoil of War--a tradition among the Fused that allows them to claim an enemy as their pleasure slave. Leshwi has no intention of actually forcing Kaladin into anything, but when The Pursuer calls her bluff in front of Raboniel, she's forced to do something terrible to keep Kaladin from his clutches.

“Thaddeus, Thaddeus,” she tutted. “That soldier has withstood every single torture method known to man. Chemicals, deprivation, solitary confinement. Literal brain injury! And he was barely kept in check. What do you think’s going to happen when he’s let loose? We can take bets on the number of casualties.”
Maybe she’d said that last part a little too gleefully. In any case, Ross narrowed his eyes. “Do you have a suggestion?”

The world went silent.
Somewhere far away, a shrill ringing started up—the deafening pealing of a thousand bells drawing closer and closer, until my head rang.

I was going to be sick. “What?”
The golden-haired female holding Rhys drew in a ragged breath, her eyes going wide, and Rhys swallowed thickly before repeating, "She's my mate, Mor."
Driven by instinct in the split-second after the mating bond snaps, Rhys abducts Feyre from the balcony during their goodbyes.And now that Feyre has seen Velaris and witnessed Rhysand break down in another female’s arms, spouting nonsense about mating bonds, she is forbidden to leave the Night Court. Forbidden, that is, until Rhysand’s Inner Circle agrees that she poses no threat to the security and secrecy of the City of Starlight.
She may be Prythian’s newly anointed Cursebreaker and their High Lord’s mate, but as Tamlin’s lover, Feyre has a lot to prove in order to convince them to let her go.

This thing, this cauldron-blessed mistake has remained dormant for almost five hundred years, through wars, Hybern and Koschei. Even through Briallyn, there hadn’t been even an ember. At least, not one that demanded acknowledgement. He has long suspected the reason why he can never move through Autumn with stealth, a fact that he knows Rhysand resents, especially with Beron’s ongoing machinations. But he could never admit to Rhysand, admit to his family the darkness that lurked at the bottom of his soul, like a tinder waiting for a spark.
---When Eris is almost murdered by the High Lord of Autumn for treason, the Inner Circle come to his aid and offer him refuge in Night. This does not bode well for Azriel and the mating bond he's been trying to ignore for the past five hundred years.
