Summary
Castiel is the well-respected commander of the cavalry under General Michael, on march through the Tartarian Empire in pursuit of King Lucifer's fleeing army. He comes across a half-starved, beaten omega slave in a squalid mountain village, and pity for the poor wretch compels him to intervene. But if he can’t overcome the language barrier between them, earning the omega's trust may be beyond even his acumen.
AN: I think it’s important to mention that Castiel’s big, tan, muscular thighs are totally exposed throughout this whole fic because he’s wearing a short tunic and cuirass a la Alexander the Great. This is very important information.

Summary
Jungkook is smart for his age. He knows this. His Daddy said so. He can see things beyond the mask and hear the truth under lies. It scares his Appa how smart he is that Jungkook decides to stay quiet with his observations.
“Heeyeon nana,” he whispers over his nanny’s story. They were reading The Great Gilly Hopkins that Jungkook got from his Uncle Namjoon.
Heeyeon smiles at him, tucking the boy in her arms. “Yes, Kookie?”
“Do Daddy and Appa love each other?” he innocently asks.
Heeyeon still has the smile but Jungkook could see the confusion swimming in her eyes. “Why yes, of course.”
That is a lie. Like the marriage photos of his parents in the living room or the family picture they took during Jungkook’s first birthday.
Everything is a lie and for the first time, Jungkook realizes that he is not the only one staying quiet with their observations.
Or in which Jungkook discovers that his parents were in an arranged marriage.
