A select few of the bastards looked as pleased as ever while Ambrosia swept an anxious glance over her kin. There was so much tension writhing in the air around them you could practically bite into it. Even their guests looked uncomfortable. “May they bring strength and honour to our kingdom.” Barnabas sat back onto his haunches, legs beginning to tremble under his weight just before he settled down. The tonic had tamed his lethargy and so the scent of food was beginning to make his mouth water. He rose his goblet and spoke proudly and loud.
