Midoriya sits on the roof of the school, looking up at the sky. Clouds of various shapes and sizes float slowly on a bright blue background. There are three floors of free fall under your feet. But he's not afraid to fall.
He can feel the itchy ache of his essence stirring impatiently under his skin. It had been so long since he had felt the resistance of the air currents beating against the tight-fitting scales. Buildings beckon with their height at the level of instincts.
Izuku is still a dragon, though carefully wrapped in a human shell.

Summary
Uncle Iroh- for some reason Zuko yet again failed to understand -refused to shoot lightning at his nephew. When further asked about it, he'd said something about it being for safety and health reasons (although it was still a bit unclear whose health he was referring to).
Zuko had never been able to count on luck though. If he wanted to ensure he could get an upper hand against his family, he would have to go and look for one himself, like with pretty much everything else in his life.
But perhaps people should really be careful of what they wish for. It might become true in the least expected ways.

When he shows the rest of his family, his mother’s chopsticks clatter to the table, and when Zuko looks to his father, his eyes are wide with shock.
His grandfather speaks first, the head of the table, and approval runs thick through his tone: “Well, look at that. A true prodigy, wouldn’t you agree, Ozai?”
“Indeed,” he hums.

Zuko felt very cold, dread pooling in his chest, chilling his inner fire.or: Zuko and Gaang are sent back in time but they're not in the bodies of their younger selves, but in ones completely different then what they are used to.
