In their penthouse in New York city, Abolish helps Avid prepare his present for Scott a little too enthusiastically as he also feels the need to try out Scott's present as well cuz, Boyfriends share right? Leaving Avid in a right debauched state, bound, aching, willing and filled with a toy. Abolish leaves the present, aka Avid, below Scott's office desk for the night waiting for Scott to get home from work on Christmas Eve.

A quaint village. Not very big, but not small either. Situated near the Oakhurst river and lake. Governed by the Goldsmith family (no social attendances or known portraits?). No trade with nearby villages. Visitors are scarce.
Avid will save this village. Even if he loses himself in the process.
OR:
Avid believes the only way to avenge Elle is to kill the vampire who turned her.
Scott is amused by Avid's little attempt and decides to watch him.. for the time being. -
