Summary
The tinted glasses, like the armour, are a protective layer, a carefully constructed distance with a shit-ton of technology to justify it.
They both make him look awesome too, which is always a bonus.

Stiles hasn’t seen Derek Hale this close up for over a decade. He looks almost exactly the same, except somehow he seems even bigger and broodier—criminally handsome, with soft-looking dark scruff, heavy brows, light hazel eyes. His gaze zeros in on Stiles almost immediately, and his scowl lightens minutely in what looks like surprise.
Stiles is acutely aware that he has melted butter and cinnamon all over his face, and tries to surreptitiously wipe it with the ends of his sweater-sleeve.

Eddie glances back up and finds Buck’s attention already fixed on him in the mirror. Buck smiles at him, eyes big and wide and sparkly, as he holds his hands up and asks-
“What do you think?”
Eddie’s gaze flickers between Buck’s eyes, and the blue, purple, and pink heart that’s been placed ever so carefully on his cheek, just beneath his left eye. It draws Eddie’s attention to Buck’s birthmark - to the lovely, pink angel kiss that he always wants to reach out and touch…to press his lips to. Buck looks so good that Eddie can’t keep it to himself.

Daenerys took a breath, and asked the question that had plagued her ever since leaving King’s Landing. “Your brother, the king, only lost his betrothed, and he hates me. Eddard Stark lost over half his family because of mine, and yet he will welcome me as his kin?” Her voice rose at the last, as she was no longer able to hide her disbelief, her fear.
“Ned Stark is a man of honor,” Stannis said. “He has no interest in avenging his family by tormenting you.” Unlike the king, neither of them said aloud.

He’s so commanding that he’s impossible to miss; he draws all of Eddie’s attention even as he sits silent and motionless, like he’s trying to disappear. He has a halo of curls on his head and a shock of pink above his left eye.
Angel, Eddie thinks, and something twists uncomfortably inside his chest.
