Summary
Aventurine makes it out of the abyss - and into a different world. Things are different here - simpler. There are no Aeons, no intergalactic factions and corporations, no Paths and Blessings. He is not naïve enough to assume that there is no cruelty and discrimination here - for there always is - but for the most part, everything is peaceful.
Here, Aventurine's priorities are getting people's coffee orders right. Fairly straight forward, if you ask him.
Except for the bit where he is surrounded by too many familiar faces, and they remind him of a place he can no longer return to. That's okay. People come and go, and so will they.
Except for the bit where they come and go and come back.
AKA. Aventurine gets dropped into a coffee-shop AU with all the memories from before. He's handling things until he's not handling things. That's okay, because he still has friends (and Dr Ratio) in this world. He just doesn't know it yet.

Summary
Hallucinations greet Kakavasha in the place of his vision, on the bridge between his mind and his barren optic nerves. Visual and strange, like daytime dreams with no tether to the appearance of reality. Kakavasha sees his own face in these visions, abstract and inhuman. He sees his big sister, standing far in the distance from him, crouched on the ground but smearing away in an array of brand new colors that never existed when he was sighted.
What if Aventurine really did sell his eyes?
A canon divergent story that focuses on Aventurine through the events leading up to Penacony, his mission, and the bittersweet aftermath... and falling in love with his colleague, Dr. Ratio.

Summary
The entire meeting can be summed down into a few key points, which Ratio doesn’t even have to make a note of because it’s stupidly simple.
Find a small community of the nomadic Avgin, follow them and attempt to communicate with them, and if that fails, simply trail along with their group and learn as much as possible about them from mere observation.
Or: Ratio is invited on a research trip, to try and find out more about the Avgin of Sigonia. He does not expect for it to go as well as it does.
