It started with Theo almost dying at the hands of his dead sister – over and over again. That should have been the end of it but Liam had to go and fall in love with the asshole somewhere along the way.
Mix in a bit of Melissa and Scott being the best mother-son combo, some familiar old faces that would always be a sight for sore eyes, some familiar old faces that all of them could have done without, a little stabbing, a little poison and a fat wiener dog-beagle mix named Gertie and you have yourself a pretty eventful summer.

Ilya and Yuna quarantine together after getting COVID. Ilya is super sick. Yuna is apprehensive because she doesn't like him but learns more about him and his terrible past and grows to love him as she helps him through the worst if his illness.
10/10. In character. Fever talk that doesn't sound out of character. All characters sound like characters from the show. Great fic.

Harris had an unofficial poll on a whiteboard in the media team’s office: Team Hollander vs Team Rozanov; something that apparently was never allowed to be revealed to the general public according to Harris’s strong warning the first time Wyatt had seen it. He had promptly and dramatically signed his name under Team Hollander, though he had to write small in the little space left. He had obviously landed up at the best team possible - at least when it came to being a fan of Shane Hollander.
Then Ilya Rozanov was traded to Ottawa.
Suddenly, Shane Hollander went from a Hockey God, whose presence Wyatt was graced with a few times a year, to the most talked about figure in the Centaurs locker room.
Ilya Rozanov was not Shane Hollander, but he might as well be the second best thing. Who else knew Shane Hollander better than his rival? Here was a live, captive source of information. A practical Shane Hollander encyclopaedia.

Wyatt Hayes character study. Reminiscing about his time in Toronto and then Ottawa and budding friendship with Ilya as he realizes that Ilya and Shane are in love. Amazing character study, very interesting. Wyatt is so funny.

“That they’re friends?”
The most hilarious exchange I've read in a fic by a mile.

“We had a wedding this weekend, Miss Emma! With Uncle Shane,” Ruby Pike announces during Monday morning circle time. Miss Emma nods and tries to play it cool. It was exciting when the Pike twins mentioned Uncle Shane. Like he was just their dad’s totally normal BFF instead of the greatest hockey player Canada had seen in two decades. But she wasn’t going to fangirl in front of the kids.
“Well, it was a pretend wedding—” Ruby starts to clarify, but then Jade Pike interrupts her.
“Uncle Ilya said if you do the rings it’s a real wedding.”
Miss Emma’s eyebrows shoot up into her hairline. Uncle…Ilya? As in…
“Uncle Ilya said the rings and kiss made it real so we should tell Daddy to get him and Uncle Shane a very, VERY expensive gift,” Jade continues.
There’s that name again. Uncle Ilya. In the same breath as Uncle Shane. With the word kiss. That couldn’t be right…
