It was the morning of the Byers family's ( and EL ) move. The whole crew was there to help them pack their stuff up and move away. It was a sad, sorrowful day with lots of tears and sniffling. Mike Dustin and Lucas sit gathering the last of wills boxes for the car. ¨Will, Hawkins, it's not going to be the same without you, promise. Promise you will call and write everyday!¨ mike says staring at will both hands on wills shoulders as if hes trying to shake him awake, its mabye the first time will has seen him cry if not first in a long time, dustin and lucas nod along eyes starting to dwell with tears as they reach in for a quick group hug in wills room wishing him a painful goodbye.

“I mean,” he starts, before taking the leap and locking their eyes again, “the jury’s still out on that crazy part.”
At that, Mike’s face lights up with the smallest bit of shock before shifting to something softer. His eyeline drifts below Will’s face, as if he’s deciding what to say.
But instead of saying anything, Mike reaches out and – holy shit – pushes playfully at Will’s chest, right over his heart.
