Leon pokes his head out the armoury. “Huh?”
“There’s a giant dude in a fedora outside the parking garage.” Ethan repeats with the same resigned nonchalance.
“Oh,” Leon says, disappearing once again. “Does he look friendly?”
“Nope.”

God. Leon wants to go home. Hopefully Ethan Winters isn’t just a brainless bioweapon, and instead a good person.

“I wouldn't know, I only agreed to do all this about three weeks ago," Ethan said.
Leon stared. “You knew that this mission would happen since three weeks ago?”
“Huh? No, not the mission.” Ethan blinked owlishly at him. “I mean joining as a DSO agent.”
Leon choked.
“What?” Leon demanded. “Three weeks? That's not - you've been training for three weeks and they sent you on this case?”
“I've received zero training, actually,” Ethan said, looking completely nonchalant even as Leon inhaled sharply. “Well, Chris did try to show me how to properly bandage a wound, but that doesn't really matter to me.”
He then laughed, like he had just made some sort of inside joke, and Leon almost punched him.
