    The growling begins to pick up again as Crow approaches the bedroom, not bothering to hide the sound of his steps. Weaker than before, but still gritty, fierce. It hits a crescendo right as Crow reaches the entrance; he pushes the door open with a casual hand, and steps through.

    Rean’s right where Crow’d left him last night—spread-eagle on their shared bed, thick ropes binding his limbs to the bedposts and rendering him mostly immobile. The moment he sees Crow walk in, Rean bares his teeth, eyes flashing feral. Lets out a gutteral snarl.

    Crow smiles. “Rise and shine, sleeping beauty,” he says.

    Rean wants to get bitched. Crow might enjoy the process more than strictly necessary.
