    He’s been a distraction for months now, really.

    Him, with his startlingly bright eyes and a head full of unruly black curls. Him, with his sly smirks and not-so-subtle looks of admiration. Him, with his stupid jokes and his ability to make her laugh even on her worst days.

    Yet, as distracting as he’s been, she can’t help but want more of him.

    She wants his arms wrapped around her, pulling her against him, his lips brushing across her forehead. She wants his hands cupping her face, his thumb grazing her cheekbone while he peppers kisses on her face. She wants his hands on her hips, lifting her up and tossing her onto his bed. She wants him smirking at her, whispering in her ear, slipping his hand under the fabric of her skirt.

    She wants him exactly how he is now, his lips pressing patterns on her collarbone and up the column of her neck; his nose skimming along her jaw and up towards her ear; one of his hands tangled in her hair, the other trailing up the inside of her thigh, teasing her through her underwear.

    After surviving a trip to the literal hell and back and defeating Gaea, Percy and Annabeth are ready for a break. They're done with prophecies, quests and gods micromanaging their lives. All they want is to be regular seventeen year olds. You know, finish highschool, go on awkward dates, dance at prom, and... take their relationship to the next level (preferably without a god or a monster popping out to ruin the moment!) But when you're a demigod, reaching seventeen is an accomplishment in itself, you're lucky you're still alive! And as for 'normal,' well, it's as mythical as your adventures are to mortals. Between meddling parents, (who can't deal with their kids growing up and forbid them from dating), nosy friends (mortals can be surprisingly perceptive) and the occasional monster attack, finding a moment alone is harder than fighting off giants. As they yearn for the simple mortal lives, Percy and Annabeth need to discover who they are outside of Camp. Will they find a way to heal together, stand up to their parents and embrace the little joys that life offers? Perhaps nothing bad will happen? Perhaps Annabeth will stop fearing the darkness inside Percy? Perhaps he'll stop waking up at night, thinking she is gone...
