“What human do when restless, question?” Rocky asks me from his starfish position. I half-ass one last sit-up, then flop onto my back, mirroring him.
“Uh. Depends on the human, I guess,” I say, chest rising and falling as I recover my breath. I wrack my brain for examples. “Exercise, mostly. Like going for a walk, or to the gym—that’s a special building just for exercising. Or, you know you can play sport, go dancing, have sex—”
Rocky perks up at that last word, and I immediately regret it.

Rocky pauses and scrutinizes him in a way that makes Grace’s heart beat a little faster. "Good noise, question?"
