Odysseus considered himself a good man. Not a bleeding heart, of course. He was a warrior of the mind, he wouldn't fall to pity so easily! He'd follow logic and his skilled stratagem. Yet he found himself so weak when face to face with a child. With a child who'd end up dooming him. Looking into the eyes of the mother he found himself weak. Such a slave to emotion that he couldn't follow orders given to him to save himself. His men.
Mercy done when knowing it would doom oneself is no less idiotic.———
Okay so: Astyanax lives, Andromache lives (happily), Phyyrus lives, Cassandra lives, a lot of the crew lives. I just really like the Trojan war and I love Troy.

Summary
There is a big difference between a trans man exploring his identity/sexuality through fanfiction, and a cis writer misrepresenting what it means to be FTM. Soaked limbs in which water plentifully drips off from his bronzed skin and returns to the silky substance below, a blank reflection that peers to the front and blinks right back in it’s view.
Mild pain that pricks in pieces such as peeling paint or flaking blood that stains seems to blossom on Odysseus’ body, swallowing nothing but drying air with tightened lungs and a caverned chest that caves in with each breath.

With wise decisions does Odysseus manage to pass by the land of the cyclops without anyone dying, yet resulting in having to dock on a different one nearby for repairs.

Summary
Joel hadn't checked the room for any other hunters. He just saw David's hands around Ellie's throat, and he had tunnel vision on getting to her. But there were other hunters. That restaurant would be smeared into both Ellie and Joel's nightmares forever. After David's town, they keep going, despite Joel's want to go back to Jackson and heal. The road to recovery, and the road to St. Mary's, is long and exhausting. That cannibal town makes Joel finally realize; he's all that Ellie has, she's all that he has. Father and daughter, healing together.

Ellie really thought it had worked. If Marlene believed she was special enough to save, special enough to risk the lives of her Fireflies and their whole operation just to smuggle her out of the QZ, then she had to believe whatever was inside Ellie would work. Right? And if Marlene believed in her that much, then that meant Ellie could believe in herself, too. It meant that even if it was too late to save Riley, maybe there was a chance she could save Sam. And then the next person. And the next.
Ellie really thought it had worked...
Or, what if things had gone a little differently, Henry hadn't stopped Joel from getting to Ellie, and hugs and words of comfort ensued
