On the table there were two plates; one filled with pasta and the other empty and two empty wine glasses. On the floor there were rose petals scattered everywhere, though some were concentrated in a pile near Dazai and his broom. Around the room there were various candles, and though they had been blown out already, he could still smell the faint aroma of rose. Rose. His favorite.
It took Chuuya all of 10 seconds to put two and two together. Rose petals. Dinner set out. Candles. Dimmed lights. Suddenly, he understood.OR: Dazai sets up a surprise dinner date for them for Valentine's Day, and gets stood up by the oblivious Chuuya. <3
