Summary
Contrary to what she had believed, she is almost never alone. Spirits show up regularly. They come to visit her daily, alone or in small groups, marking the rhythms of her days with their recurring presence.
At first, she doesn’t notice him. Unlike other spirits when they seek her company, he has no anecdotes to tell, lessons or advice to give her. His gaze is fixed and penetrating. Lively or dark depending on the case.
She knows who he is. How could she not? He looks strikingly like him. His eyes are exactly the same, they burn with intense fervour, full of the feeling that animates them.
