Summary
Following the McClain's and the excuses they make before and after Lance's supposed death at the Galaxy Garrison.
Lance Sanchez-McClain died in a piloting accident. He had just made it from cargo-pilot to fighter class but it seems he was promoted too soon. He's been so excited when he's called them with the news. He's not excited anymore and the Galaxy Garrison refuses to release his body. Those who have followed Lance's story know he joined an intergalactic battle for peace, joining a whole new world filled with aliens and technology Earth has never seen before.
This isn't about where he went, this is about what he left behind. Who he left behind.
There are ten other McClain's back on Earth and they miss him.

He abruptly realizes he failed to not smile. While looking at Hinata. For who knows how long.
He thumbs it off his face and manages a scowl. “What?”
Kageyama squints like he wants to say something. Processing, the way he does when he’s starting to finally grasp the pre-calc Kei has been lecturing for the last forty minutes.
“Was that… banter?” he asks. “Do you and Hinata banter?”
