His mind is a dumpster fire, begging to be extinguished. But he can't share, or he risks burning the ones he loves in the process. Gillion sat down onto the tiled floor, whimpering as he could feel the adrenaline of combat start to wear off. The sharp pain of the wound was getting to him, blocking every other sensation out until it was all he could experience.
He wrapped his tail around himself, rocking back and forth gently, as he waited, hoping one of the Elders would stop by to check on him. Several minutes passed. And several more. He sat patiently, listening for the sound of a creaking door and footsteps.
