Summary
**HIATUS** Life. Reworking some things.
Carlos knew from a young age he wanted to find out how the world worked. He became a scientist and earned his Doctor in Science before he found himself in Night Vale. However, the truth becomes harder to understand when a stack of letters makes him question the time he spent in Night Vale. What's Truth and Lie when he can't even trust his own memory? What's Real when he can't even trust the very man that he married and had been living with for the past decade? And when old faces return, forcing him to confront his past, Carlos will need to decide where he belongs and which is most important. As he's said before "As far as the laws of the universe are concerned, it is not where I belong."
The Vague Yet Menacing Government Agency dogging his every footstep isn't helping matters, either.

Summary
It occurred to Carlos that he hadn’t received any correspondence from the university at all after his first year. He still received his money, but never any letters or emails or anything asking for updates about his research into Night Vale. And that seemed strange to him, even stranger than the unsent wedding invitation. It was as he stood in the attic, thinking this over, the wedding invitation in his hand that he felt it. There was a shift in his mind, as if a veil had been lifted.

Carlos had gotten accustomed to life in Night Vale, accepted much of the strangeness that came with the city that he'd almost forgotten his previous life before Night Vale. Sure he remembered them, but they were fine, weren't they? After a particularly upsetting discovery, he runs back home only to find out he's been presumed dead and missing for twelve years. He'll need to find a way to reconcile his old life and his new one in Night Vale, but how can he when he himself isn't sure he wants to go back?Series

Summary
The storm had been building all day, an eastward front colliding with the last gasp of northern air to produce a cell so dense the sky went green at noon. Wind battered the glass so hard Aurora Wolfe half-expected her grandmother’s prized stained-glass windows to implode, but so far, the house held. The floors, old polished hardwood, seemed to list and tremble beneath her feet.
Aurora barely noticed. The couch beneath her was an island, its threadbare arms worn bald by restless hands and anxious afternoons. Aurora had spent the last three hours here, cocooned in the world of Skyrim, systematically ignoring the outside: the storm, the house, the growing ache in her hands, and the time. It was easier to focus on the flicker of digital fire, the clean crunch of sword through simulated bone, the simple clarity of quest markers than to think about the real world, the real storm, or the man who was always coming home drunk.
In Skyrim, when things got bad, you could just reload a save.
