Summary
After Katsuki apologized to Deku, they hadn't really gotten the chance to just exist with each other without some sort of life-threatening, world-saving shit going on.
So Katsuki is picking up where he left off by extending his hand to Deku in an offer to rekindle their friendship, if that’s what Deku wants. Of course, Deku very much wants that, but the degree which Deku wants Katsuki in his life comes as a bigger surprise to Katsuki than anyone thought it would.

“Wha—” Izuku breathed out, bewildered. He slowly stepped forward, still not entirely sure what was happening. The cat didn’t move, its green eyes locking onto his with an eerie stillness. It wasn’t fazed by his presence at all.
“Hey, kitty, are you the one making the noise at my door?” Izuku asked, his voice softer now, more to himself than the cat. He extended his hand, and the cat leaned into his touch, purring loudly in response.
