Wei Wuxian took a deep breath, lungs searing with the acrid smell of death and decay mixed with living flesh and blood. Glancing around blearily and without any particular aim, he slowly dragged his fingers across Xuanwu’s fleshy inside walls, blood and slime collecting under his fingernails. It felt filthy—hot, moist, and slick, tensing and pulsing under the pressure of his fingertips.
