“You should,” Dong Sik spats out, kicking an empty can - wincing when she slaps his arm without holding back.
“Well, I don’t,” she says with a sigh, straightening her back once again, “If I don’t regret a bastard like that, why would Inspector Han regret an idiot like you?”
He stays silent. Here in Manyang most of the streets are still rough, dirt and gravel sprayed without care on the old, ruined cement, pebbles casting their little dark shadows under feeble street lights.In which everyone has Opinions, and no one needs to meddle, but they would still like to give a gentle push.

Summary
If Ju-won was with someone other than Dong-sik, he would've done anything but what he did, to get out of the especially, ridiculously sticky situation he had found himself in — a situation he didn’t even want to be in, in the first place.
He feels Dong-sik stiffening against him, but even that is not enough to deter Ju-won’s dedication to this act which really is just a front for the real Han Ju-won’s desires to come to light. He hears sudden footsteps mere feet away from him, and before Dong-sik can object or god forbid, tease him, Ju-won cups Dong-sik's face, pleads out, “I am sorry, but just trust me, okay?” and presses their lips together.

Juwon shivers. “Stop that,” he says, closing his hand around Dongsik’s.
Dongsik tilts his head, blinking up at him. “It’s 'stop this' and 'stop that,' isn’t it? What do you want me to do?”
Juwon reddens, further, at what he’d been hoping for. He doesn’t know what he was picturing—maybe a silent fuck, with no words whispered, but simply the mechanics of going through it, and then washing himself carefully and never talking about it again—but watching Dongsik now, he knows it’s going to be more complicated than that.
Juwon wants. This is what happens when he voices that desire.
