Juwon shivers. “Stop that,” he says, closing his hand around Dongsik’s.
Dongsik tilts his head, blinking up at him. “It’s 'stop this' and 'stop that,' isn’t it? What do you want me to do?”
Juwon reddens, further, at what he’d been hoping for. He doesn’t know what he was picturing—maybe a silent fuck, with no words whispered, but simply the mechanics of going through it, and then washing himself carefully and never talking about it again—but watching Dongsik now, he knows it’s going to be more complicated than that.
Juwon wants. This is what happens when he voices that desire.

Summary
He wakes up to pearl-grey morning light coming through the old lace curtains of Dongsik's window. He's wearing an old stretched-out shirt and sweatpants, not his own. Beside him, arm tucked under the pillow, Dongsik sleeps.
Hot panic rushes over him. He dimly remembers getting into the shower, being guided by Dongsik's hands. Being handed these clothes, tugging the shirt over his head. Accepting a patter of explanations from Dongsik on why it would be better that he just stay the night. And he remembers everything before that.
He squeezes his eyes shut, as though he can disappear back into sleep. Dongsik makes a small sound, shifts slightly against the pillow, and Juwon's eyes fly open again. If he is here when Dongsik wakes up, he will have to say something, and that is impossible.

Summary
Dongsik has spent a lot of time analyzing motivation when it comes to murder: why a person might do the unthinkable in a moment of anger or plot in cold blood. He’s faced the worst of human nature, even in himself. It’s not surprising that he didn’t see this good thing coming.
Safety nets are useless when you’ve already fallen.

The kettle clicks off loudly in the silence. Joowon lets out a shuddering breath.
“Just–,” Joowon starts, even as he feels his heart clench wetly inside his chest. “Don’t say things you don’t mean. I hate when people do that.”

Dongsik presses his hands against Joowon’s spine, and his ribs against Joowon’s own, pushing, and pushing until the dirt on Dongsik’s hands start to polish all of the sharp points of his bones.
