Summary
The Winter Soldier does not remember a time when he was not the Winter Soldier. He only remembers the Rules, the orders and the missions. As he works for the Americans, he watches and he learns. Slowly, the Americans become complacent and they start to make mistakes. Mistakes become habits, and soon the Soldier finds HYDRA’s control over him slipping. Eventually, he discovers the strength to make a decision. So he bides his time and waits for the perfect opportunity when a single choice could make a difference. That opportunity comes in the form of a trio of Director Fury’s most capable agents, and that choice ends up being to form an alliance to take down Project: Insight.

Summary
After more than two months of unimaginable torment, Bucky doesn’t know if he will be able to go through this again. He doesn’t know if he can heal from it. He doesn’t know how to find his way back to the person he loves, or how to stop feeling like he’s failing the people who never gave up on him.
