    Después de sobrevivir a un intento de suicidio, Ilya Rozanov pasa casi un mes internado en una clínica psiquiátrica. Cuando recibe el alta, no sale curado ni optimista, solo está más vigilado, medicado y con una rutina que debe seguir para poder continuar fuera. Vive ahora en la casa de su mejor amigo Troy, asiste semanalmente a terapia con la doctora Yuna Hollander y se prepara para postular a fisioterapia.
    Al terminar una de esas sesiones conoce a Shane, el hijo de su psicologa, estudiante destacado de ballet en Montreal, disciplinado, silencioso y aparentemente estable.
