    Jon Antilles' Guide to Interacting With Mandalorians and spin-off fics

    Basic premise of the AU: Fay yoinks Jon from Dark Woman's influence at some point either during his padawanship or shortly after he becomes a Knight. She finishes his training/mentors him and somewhere along the way teaches him whatever old dialect of Mando'a she speaks (because I love the headcanon where she knew Tarre Vizsla). Jon still has a lot of the scars and weird Shadow-y Force techniques he learned during his padawanship with Dark Woman, but slightly less trauma because of Fay getting him away from Dark Woman.

    Jon follows the Force and casually rolls up to different situations, helps out, gives minimal explanation in old Mando'a, and leaves. All the Mandos: ???

    Summary

    Jon Antilles is a lone wanderer, following the will of the Force wherever it leads. Fortunately, or unfortunately, as the case may be, the Force has a sense of humor. And maybe, sometimes, even a wanderer can find a place to call home.

    Jaster Mereel has finally united the clans of Mandalore. Surely now he can finally have some peace and quiet. And maybe another cup of caf, and access to the Jedi Archives, as a treat.

    And Dooku? Dooku is trying to enjoy his vacation and would like the will of the Force to kark off and happen to someone else for a while...

    Part 1 is mostly crack and fun of Jedi and Mandalorians getting to know one another, with an underlying plot of finding and preparing to hunt down a Sith.

    Part 2, coming soon, will be the actual hunting of said Sith

    “70 …” 68 said slowly, taken off-guard. 70 wasn’t a brother normally inclined towards ghost-tales. “Ben isn’t real. He’s just a baby story--something the tubies like to pretend is real.”

    70 shook his head, his face set in stubborn lines. “He might not be. No, listen--” he gave 74 a glare when it looked like his brother wanted to interrupt again. “I’ve heard the stories, and they’re always the same. The tubies all know what he looks like. They all know he’s a jetii, before anyone ever told them what a jetii was. You know how the longnecks keep batches of tubies separate. There’s no way any of us, or any of the older vod, could have told them about him. But it doesn’t matter. All the batches know about Ben.”

    Summary

    Fox dies.

    Except he doesn’t, because as soon as the creepy Sith ritual drains the last of the blood from his body, he wakes up…somewhere. Somewhere else, where, for once, he can’t feel the Emperor’s claws digging into his head every hour of the cycle.

    Unfortunately, this somewhere else is so deep in the middle of nowhere that he gets picked up by a mandalorian—some asshole called Montross who quickly proves that he’d be more helpful dead, especially once Fox finds out that this shabuir wants to sell him off to the Kyr’tsad. In a final bid for freedom, Fox disposes of his would-be captor, commandeers his ship, and goes on the run from the man’s terrorist Kyr’tsad friends and his weird Haat Mando’ad coworkers.

    …until the weird coworkers finally catch up to Fox.

    Or: upon his death, Fox is thrown several decades into the past, lands in Mandalore’s backyard, gets himself adopted, and (mostly intentionally) alters the course of the galaxy.

    Oh, and he isn’t the only vod to get tossed through time and space.
