There's a fleeting thought that a couple of inches of bourbon would do him good, to calm this uneasiness, to keep him warm in his cold bed, or to simply get shit-faced to forget everything. But he ignored it, with great effort. He's unlike Dean who'd just grab the nearest bottle whenever things didn't pan out according to plan. Instead, he focused on the memory of Eileen's kind eyes, the smell of her hair, her cheeky smile, and how much he missed her.
Or the one where Benny's "death" didn't happen and Sam is dealing with Eileen leaving.

Broke and desperate, Dean found himself sitting on a casting couch after his roommate had left him to pay the apartment on his own, thinking doing gay porn might save him from being kicked out, save him from being homeless. It was supposed to be a one-time thing, but he needed money... no, Sam needed the money. And he would do everything for his little brother.
But...
Is he desperate enough to break his first rule for extra cash, or he actually liked how he was being treated to just... let go and say fuck it?

Stakeouts are the best, Dean had initially thought a couple of days ago, loving the thrill of going undercover and busting drug dealers, but this was not he had signed up for: a lifeguard on a public swimming pool. Dealers, nowadays, were getting craftier on distributing their stuff. And it's a big problem not only in the neighborhood but also in the precinct Dean Smith was assigned to.
In normal circumstances, he was supposed to be concealed from the civilians’ eyes, somewhere in the comfort of his car or an old building, not like this, wide open and exposed to the public. The highchair he was sitting on didn’t help either. Even though he got the best seat in the house, to spot any shady activity in the vicinity, he didn’t like being presented like a Thanksgiving turkey.

As Dean lay there on the dirty floor of an abandoned church, unmoving and gasping for air, the rancid stink of decaying flesh assaulted his nose. Whatever the archangel was planning, abandoning his perfect vessel like a broken toy, Dean was relieved that his suffocating battle to win his body back was finally over, that he’s finally free.

Summary
Dean brings Benny on a hunt, in a poorly-conceived idea of a working vacation. An easy investigation of a nest in Vicksburg, Mississippi goes quickly awry when the case expands to involve Sam and Garth, and long-buried ghosts of Benny’s past harangue him as he finds himself unable to keep the humans he cares about out of harm’s way.
This story takes place in the middle of Season 8, in between episode 10 (Torn and Frayed) and 11 (LARP and the Real Girl).

Summary
