He looked up at the towering figure, trying to muster up the pleading eyes that usually made the god cave. Anubis reached down to ruffle his avatar’s hair lovingly, but his expression remained stern. Steven sighed, and looked down at his feet.
“Understood.”

Rather than making a deal with an existing human— avatars are chosen from birth by their respective god. Each god trains and raises them as their own. Anubis had chosen a boy with a soul as bright as the sun, and swore to protect him for eternity. Khonshu had chosen a pair of discordant twins, and swore to mold them into the deadliest avatars on Earth.
Anubis and Khonshu don’t get along. Their avatars are a different story.

Summary
A little boy has shown up to Mythic Quest HQ. This isn’t exactly new, they’ve had a few annoying fans before. But usually after some stern looks from security, and maybe a few “We are going to contact your mother” threats, they eventually go away. But this one is shaking and in tears. He says his parents' names are “Troy” and “Britta” and they are… in danger? Apparently, the last thing they told him was to find someone named “Abed” at Mythic Quest. That he will help him. Ian just wants to call security and send him away, but of course David stops him.
So who the hell is Abed?

“Mhm.” Will finds himself humming in agreement, too stunned to do anything else as he stares at the man – how his fingers twitch in the air before balling up into fists, his whole body turning to look at him again.
He wonders if it would be the right thing to do, if it really is okay to move on with his life when he knows his sister would always be stuck in one place? It's dumb, stupid to think about, he knows that, but— Will always led his life with an infuriating strong empathy, even though he was not given an ounce of that for all that he had gone through. He couldn't help but think about her, Eleven- Jane, his sister. What she would say if she saw him.
Or: Will and Mike after the epilogue, showcasing what really happened after everything; how they struggle with the feelings of guilt and shame that come with the memory of Eleven.
Also, Will gets a boyfriend— nobody knows how to deal with it.
Nobody being everything. Everything being Mike fucking Wheeler.

The BuzzFeed Unsolved crew has made their way to New Orleans for the infamous Dauphine Orleans Hotel. It's the same routine: getting footage, talking to the person or staff who lives or works in said haunted places, investigation, scary sleepover, then going home.
Unless something along the lines switches up that routine in one of the most haunted cities in America.

That was what Shane told himself the first time he typed "Shyan fanfic" into the Twitter search bar. Or maybe it was Tumblr. It all blurred together at 1:13 a.m. when his apartment was too quiet, and Ryan had texted him a meme three hours ago and then gone offline.
He wasn't looking for anything, exactly. He was just curious, anthropologically. Like David Attenborough observing fandom in the wild.
