Every fibre of her being chafed at the uptightness of it all, not to mention her lace collared dress that she had once swooned over being so pretty. It wasn't as pretty now that it felt like it was choking her. There were so many people in one place taking themselves wayyy to seriously. Is Ulfric Stormcloak merely a racist jingoistic dingleberry, or does he have 'layers'? And what if the Mage's Guild main quest didn't end there, but was blended with several Daedric quest storylines?

When Roan Dzilenski takes on a freelance story in Alaska for her old newspaper, partly as an excuse to get some space from a relationship long turned stale, she doesn't realize she's bitten off far more than she can chew. In the quiet, cozy surf town of Yakutat, Alaska, Roan meets with an ex-Texan sculptor whose sudden disappearance from the Corpus Christi art scene sparked a frenzy of rumors and innuendoes. At first she assumes it's a simple story and tries to work out what he's running from, but by the time she works out what exactly he's running TO, she's already deep beneath the surface and struggling for air. In the meantime, Roan's girlfriend Elena is forced to team up with her despised former boss to mount a rescue mission once Roan doesn't report back - but will there be anything left to save?
