Chris can't help but take him in and help him build his life back up, and slowly, Piers starts to find meaning in his life again. He's honing his sniping skills, he's working part-time to try and keep himself busy outside of his military career. Somewhere along the way, he meets Finn. Maybe Piers should have listened to Chris's disapproval of him wanting to date a sixteen year old, because when rumours start circulating, Finn being underage is the least of their worries when people need to blame Finn's bruises on someone.

Kevin didn't think much about why David seemed so insistent to sleep with him. He didn't think about why he was waking up to find David sleeping on his sofa more and more often. It was keeping David out of trouble for the most part, so Kevin let it happen.
It was just... Kevin didn't know why he found himself missing David's company whenever he would disappear for a few days, because David had said it himself; what they had was nothing but casual sex.
Was it wrong that Kevin was wishing it could be something more? Probably, because David didn't seem to want anything but sex and a place to crash for the nights.
