Summary
“And just who are you supposed to be?”
The cadet in the middle of the four straightened his shoulders, raising his chin defiantly. “We’re the Bad Batch,” he announced, in a tone that was practicing future leadership.
CT-782 frowned, pushing CT-4040 back with an arm on the shoulders before he could say something escalatory. “That’s not right,” CT-782 said, “WE’RE the only bad batch around here.”

“Do you think rubbing it would help?”
Silence fell for one long, torturous second, and Cody prayed to the Manda for patience. Or for a giant black hole to appear and swallow the Negotiator whole. Less chance to meet his General’s eye in the black void of space.
I’m gonna kriffin’ kill Rex.

Summary
When every other man in the 501st is paired up except for Chip, he isn’t surprised.
When he gets back the official address form and his roommate is a number he doesn’t recognize, he isn’t surprised.
When he shows up at his brand-new apartment with all his worldly possessions shoved into a duffel pack to see a Marshal Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic standing in the middle of said apartment, he is, admittedly, a little surprised.
Actually, a lot surprised.
Marshal Commander Fox, Head of the Coruscant Guard, looks at him blankly. Chip lets his duffel bag fall to the floor.
“How did you get in here?” Marshal Commander Fox says.
Chip opens his mouth once or twice. “I, uh. I live here? Sir?”
Fox’s eyebrows shoot up into his forehead, but it’s his only outward expression of emotion. “Well, that can’t be right.”
***
Chip, the youngest trooper out of the very last batch decanted on Kamino, finds himself rooming with Marshal Commander Fox, the oldest, grumpiest motherfucker on Coruscant. Featuring child labor laws, bad dye jobs, and takeout.

Summary
Once the Kenobi floodgates are opened, they cannot be closed. Cody has apparently been keeping an itemized list of disagreements, and he is determined to tell Rex each and every one of them.
Kenobi refuses to listen to Cody’s input. Kenobi throws himself into battle with no regard for previously established battle plans. Kenobi uses the Force so recklessly and obviously that every undercover assignment is blown within the first few minutes. Kenobi is a hypocrite who berates Cody for sidestepping protocol, but flouts it himself at every opportunity.
CT-7567: bet you wish you had skywalker now
CC-2224: I wish for nothing but the cold embrace of space
Right. And he says Kenobi’s dramatic.
***
Marshal Commander Cody and High General Obi-Wan Kenobi of the 212th cannot stand each other. Rex doesn't know why this is his problem.

Summary
A startled red-haired child stared up at him. The kid waved shyly and Marev absently waved back.
That is most definitely not a cadet. Cadet-sized for sure, just not from the shores of Kamino.
"Kar'ta? Fangs?" Marev called, faux-calm. "Who is this?"
"I'm Cal Kestis." The kid introduced timidly.
Marev knelt down to Cal's eye level and took his bucket off, if only to soothe the little Jedi. And a Jedi is definitely what this one is, if the beige robes are anything to go by.
Marev's eye twitched as he imagined Kar'ta and Fangs invading the Jedi Temple and kidnapping the tiny child.
"I'm Commander Marev of the Iron Battalion." Marev told Cal gently. "Where is your Jedi guardian?"
Cal fidgeted with the edge of his sleeves and Marev could feel the bashfulness lacing the motion.
"Master Tapal's in a meeting right now."
Or, Clone Commander Marev of the 13th Battalion meets Padawan Cal Kestis for the first time and has several concerns.
