Summary
Severus was sent to check on Harry Potter, and what he discovered infuriated him. He whisked him away from his relatives in a flurry of hugs and lollipops and orange juice. At Dumbledore's bequest, Harry was sent to the Burrow, where everyone was lovely, but he couldn't help but feel sad. He missed Severus, who had saved him and been kinder to him than anyone else in his life.
And Severus? Well, his house felt emptier than ever once the child had left.

So it was a surprise indeed to find no one liked him much and oh gosh, how many points did he just lose?

Teachers who didn't like him, housemates who hated him, unfair treatment and points taken away all the time, well, at least he had Hedwig which was exactly one friend more than he'd ever had before!
Or:
A magic window, secret rooms, baffling attacks, magic that didn't like to come out in class and an entire host of weirdness, Harry Potter might be new to magic but life in a cupboard taught one thing for sure....
Fill your pockets with food any chance you get!

Summary
Harry is having an excellent fourteenth birthday at the Burrow, at least until Dumbledore arrives with Snape in tow. Dumbledore informs him that he must be tutored by the Potions Master in both Defence and Potions for the rest of the summer, to Harry's great dismay, and so he is dragged along to Spinner's end.
Snape didn't anticipate spending his summer housing and tutoring the son of his late enemy, and he definitely didn't expect that the boy was really nothing like how he had always assumed, but as the days progress, both wizards will learn more about the other, either from a round of questioning...or from behind the other's back.
