Peter begs for the pain to stop. He wants it over. He expects his dads to be able to do that for him, but they can't. And that breaks Tony's heart because they're his fathers. Peter look sup to him, and relies on him to take away the pains of life, and they can't.
"It-- It hurts!" Peter screams for the dozenth time. He's just as inconsolable as he was when this first happened.
Tony doesn't know how long ago it's been exactly. It's felt like hours, but Tony knows that's impossible. Peter would have bled out by now if that was true.
"I know, bud," Steve whispers through a thick voice. Peter Rogers-Stark is the only person to ever make Steve Rogers-Stark cry in public like this. It's a feat but not one that Tony is happy to witness. "We're almost to the tower. The doctors are ready, and they're going to make it all better."

Even in his earliest memories, when he was around 2 or so, Howard's sexual abuse of him and lack of proper love and affection was a constant. His mother, Maria, pretended not to notice and just spent her days in a medicated haze. Obadiah later manipulated Tony when Tony went to MIT and convinced Tony that he was the only one that loved him, and if Tony loved him back, he should have sex with him.I want an exploration of the effect that this background has on adult Tony, his coping mechanisms, and his relationships with others.
