Summary
Will Graham is done with the BAU and the FBI and any other acronyms people want to throw at him. He just wants to live in the small town of Triple Oak, Montana with his small vet practice and take care of animals and stay the hell away from people.
To be fair Duncan never meant to be the reason that isolation imploded, he was looking for much the same.
To be fair Hannibal never intended to either he was merely curious and wanted to see what would happen.
To be fair Nigel had never wanted to see his fucking brothers again but here they fucking were.

Summary
Will Graham sailed across the Atlantic after he recovered from the jagged slice in his belly. He saw the origami heart left in Palermo. He forgave Hannibal in the catacombs. He even went all the way out to Lithuania, to Lecter castle, in hopes of better understanding the elusive Dr. Lecter. But... he decided, then, that it was best for everyone if he and Hannibal never saw one another again.
He instead retired to a small cabin in Triple Oak, Montana, with only one neighbor. Duncan was gruff at first, but gradually they built a friendship and even more gradually they built something else. Will is happy. Safe. Things are stable.
But Hannibal Lecter cannot let him go that easily, and there are plenty out there who cannot let Hannibal go, either.

Summary
A Season 2 AU in which Will Graham did not, at any point, accuse Hannibal of being the Chesapeake Ripper.
Will Graham is the smartest person most people will ever have the misfortune to meet. Hannibal Lecter has been no exception; he's brilliant, but his failing is that he assumes he's the mastermind in every situation. He still thinks Will didn't pick up on every weird joke, every coincidence, every threat disguised as a charming quip, every flashing neon sign that screams "Hannibal Lecter is the Chesapeake Ripper!"
Now, Will has to decide what he wants from Hannibal. For the first time in his life, it seems like there's a possibility that somebody might be close enough to his level for a real connection. Hannibal is an apex predator in a garish suit, blind to Will's superior camouflage, and the Ripper's obsession with Agent Graham is so obvious it's drawing attention from... undesirable sources. If Will can manipulate everything to his desired outcome, Hannibal could become the equal Will has always wanted.
If he wants to protect their fragile peace, it'll take a lot more than just Hannibal Lecter.
That's fine. After all, Will has never been able to stop himself at just one stray.
