He looks half-awake, golden-brown hair in a bun at the nape of his neck, his plaid pajama pants pulled askew, revealing just the waistband of his boxers, and his chest bare. “A pet?” Steve scoffs. “You only just learned how to use a microwave, you think you can take care of another living, breathing organism?”
