Summary
Thanatos' sudden and worryingly long absence from the House of Hades threatens to tear the fragile seams holding everything together askew.
Hypnos, exhausted and increasingly distressed about the tension surrounding the House, feels that he must take things into his own hands. To find his twin and bring him home, Hypnos must journey out into the Underworld. Hypnos takes on the daunting task of traversing Hades Domain, in disguise and aided by an unlikely benefactor. In his quest for answers however, only more questions arise, and his search for Thanatos in the great maze of the Underworld leads him down paths that he is not so sure he is ready to face.

An Ares x Hypnos Fanfiction.This Story is a self-indulgent exploration of both my love for these characters, and of Classical Mythology & Lore. Hypnos and Ares are perhaps an improbable pair, but nevertheless a pairing I have come to love. As this work is a passion project, I am making no money or accreditation from it. Summary
Ares doesn't want to be married. Or, if he were to be wed to someone from the underworld, he would rather marry his life-long crush Thanatos.
Hypnos doesn't want to be married, and he definitely doesn't want to be stuck with Ares, who his brother keeps describing as violent and obsessive.
But Zeus and Hades have both decided that their two kingdoms should be symbolically joined, and Ares, least-loved son of Zeus and Hypnos, "laziest" worker in the House of Hades are who they've chosen, so the wedding will go ahead, no matter what the grooms think.
It turns out, however, that War and Sleep might have more in common than either would have thought, and perhaps being stuck with each other can work out after all.
