Summary
Bucky Barnes is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and founding partner of "Vanguard," a respected, albeit somewhat austere, digital marketing firm. Bucky is efficient, straight-laced, dressed exclusively in black, and lives in a perpetual state of controlled melancholy. John Walker is his newest hire: a junior strategy consultant, fuelled by the American Dream, ubiquitous quarter-zip pullovers, and a positivity so blinding that Bucky feels he needs shades for every meeting.
John is a hurricane of ideas, initiative, and client rapport, pushing the firm's revenue to historical highs. Bucky hates him. He despises his unjustified enthusiasm, his tendency to give motivational nicknames, and the way he strides into the office humming classic rock anthems. Bucky has tried everything to get him canned: impossible workloads, scathing criticism, and brutal overtime. But John just smiles, delivers, surpasses, and gives him a high-five on the way out. It's a battle of wills where Bucky’s financial stability depends entirely on his personal nemesis.

Summary
John Walker, un ex-Capitán de la Caballería condecorado pero profundamente traumatizado, compró un rancho en la frontera para huir de la guerra y la memoria de su hermano. Es un hombre de rutina, disciplina y una ira latente que solo el trabajo físico logra contener. Su vida se basa en la soledad elegida.
La rutina de John se interrumpe cuando encuentra a Robert Reynolds, un vagabundo herido y amnésico, acampando ilegalmente en sus tierras. Bob no irradia luz, sino una calma inexplicable. Es un hombre de naturaleza abierta y gentil, que no recuerda nada de su pasado, pero cuya presencia actúa como un bálsamo para la agitación de John.
A medida que John, a regañadientes, permite que Bob se quede para sanar, se encuentra atraído por la vulnerabilidad y la paz de Bob. Bob es la primera persona que no lo juzga por su pasado brutal.
