Just a second prior, Kate had learnt the rush of heat as his hands wound needy paths upon her bare skin. It was fascinating really, the way her skin rose up in little goosebumps in response. The way the blood pounded in her throat. The feeling of the floor dropping out from beneath her.
If she had a soulmate, this was exactly how she had imagined she would feel.
