Summary
“I have no idea,” he says, before lowering his voice because he’s still not convinced she’s not listening in on their conversations. The fear is well founded, alright? He swears she looks at him sometimes – with that quirked eyebrow, and penetrating gaze – as if she knows his every secret. And he has secrets. One big, red and blue, spandex covered, web-slinging, secret that no one can find out about. “Who knows anything about Jones?”
And it’s a legitimate question.
He knows next to nothing about their colleague.
Apart from the fact she’s damn good at her job, is incapable of uttering a sentence that isn’t dripping in sarcasm, is a little (a whole lot) intimidating, he knows nothing about Michelle Jones.
Not for lack of trying though.

Summary
MJ’s lips twitch and thank god, he can’t see her right now.
Because this is not supposed to be funny. This is supposed to be terrifying.
After all, it’s not every day you get kidnapped to lure out a superhero.
A superhero who happens to be your best friend, your inconvenient crush, one hundred percent pure, oblivious, dumb boy, and also happens to be kidnapped along with you too.
Yep.
Best get settled in – it’s gonna be a long night.
Or: Kidnapped and tied together, Peter and MJ play a little game of ‘Truth and Truth.’

Summary
“You know,” he says, not looking away, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen MJ smile.”
And okay, he’s seen her smirk, and maybe there’s been a trace of a grin at one of Flash’s idiotic answers in decathlon practice once or twice, but he’s never truly seen her smile. The kind of smile that starts in the eyes and lights up her face – a really pretty face.
Objectively speaking, of course.
Ned stops his rambling and looks at him, mouth agape. The French fry midway to his mouth drooping at the end with the weight of excess ketchup.
“What?”
“It’s just, I dunno, man. It’s weird,” Peter continues, “I’ve known her for forever, and I’ve never seen her smile. That’s weird, right?”
Or: all the ways Peter tries to make MJ smile (and fails. repeatedly.)

Summary
She knows there’s someone under that mask, a human being hiding away behind that now infamous suit, but it doesn’t hit her until now, just how vulnerable he seems. Which is ridiculous; she doesn’t even know him.
Whatever, she thinks. She’s not in the kind of mood to contemplate a superhero’s psyche, but she’s not gonna stand here idly while he has some sort of crisis, either. Not that she knows for sure he’s having a crisis. He may have just fallen asleep standing upright, for all she knows. Or maybe he has solar panels stitched into his suit and needs to recharge his batteries like fucking WALL-E. Point is, she should really turn around and leave right about now, before she does something idiotic, like clear her throat, and say:
“Hey Spidey? You okay, there?”
Too late.
Alternatively: Five times MJ sees Spider-Man in action and does what she does best. Observe. Conclude. (+ be proven right)

Blair can’t keep taking one step forward and two steps back. Something has to change and it has to be her.

Summary
Dan leaves. Blair gets everything she thought she wanted. And they don't ever think about one another.
The rational part of him — the part that recognizes Chuck and Blair rely on one another in a way that escapes him, and the part that never could quite believe Blair Waldorf was his girlfriend — that part doesn’t believe for a second she’ll show up to the airport. He’s ashamed to admit there’s another piece of him, small as it may be, that has taken the shape of a hope balloon and refuses to deflate. Dan is fairly certain it’s the same part to blame for kissing Blair the first time, or writing about her the first time, or thinking that telling her he loved her was ever a good idea.

post 4x01. Dutch in the Green with Khlyen, who tells her yet another story about the Warrior and the Thief.
"The Princess lived alone for many years in her tower, watching as the dragon killed anyone who got too close . . . until one day, a Thief came along. He was not like the valiant knights who had come before him. Not only was he a thief, but a storyteller – a giver of names, a weaver of tales – who called wherever his feet landed his home. Unlike the others, he did not attempt to fight the dragon, nor did he try to scale the tower. Instead, he stole the key."

Almost two years after the fact, Rip Hunter is still reeling from the heartbreakingly painful loss of his wife and son. Nothing seems to matter anymore, and when his grief and apathy turn dangerous, he's forced to seek help by way of bereavement counseling. This is where he meets Sara Lance, a transplant from Star City who is dealing with the brutal death of her older sister. They're both damaged and broken but they understand each other in ways no one else can. And maybe, together, they can take their broken pieces and turn them into something new.
AKA: The one where they meet in grief counseling, become friends, and eventually fall in love.
