    “So,” Hangman sang, breaking the silence between them as he placed his bottle of beer on top of the stool next to him. “Not only are you a stealth pilot but you are a deserter as well.”

    Bob flickered his eyes, confused by the declaration his colleague was making.

    Hangman tutted sarcastically as he shook his head. “I should feel offended that you would rather spend your time huddled up here than on the beach with us.”

    A hesitant chuckle escaped through Bob’s lips before he even realised it. He quickly pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and lowered his head. “Oh — well, erm, do not take it too personally.”

    A snide pout appeared across Hangman’s lips. “But I am taking it personally, Bob.” he said as he lowered his body towards the table, placing his hand towards the green ball nearest to him. “I am.”

    OR: While the other Top Gun recruits enjoy their time on the beach playing ‘Dogfight Football’, Bob escapes to the Pilot Club Bar to find some peace and quiet. But Hangman soon finds him…

    Everyone at the table looks around at each other and then Phoenix, predictably, is the first to break, cracking up in laughter.

     

    The 12 aviators meet up on leave, almost a year later, for a nice relaxing cruise. Bob gets roped into Hangman's typical antics.
