“It's a little funny,” Catra says, turning back to the stove. “I mean, how does that even work? You just never have strong emotions?”
“I avoid attachments and stimulating environments,” Adora says. “I practice daily meditation, and have mindfulness tools and breathing techniques on hand to manage unexpected triggers. My studies also help—ruminating on the vastness and complexity of the wider universe really puts individual concerns in perspective.”
“Sounds like a lot of work,” Catra says with a shrug. “Why not just blow the planet up?”
