Hal lifted his head enough to squint at the spot Bruce was clearly no longer occupying. “Well, You're not in it.”
“I stepped away.” Bruce’s voice was dangerously flat. “I was gone for less than ten minutes.”
“Ten minutes is a lifetime in space battles, Spooky. You know what? I don’t care. I just flew, like, seventeen light-years and mediated an alien war. My spine is killing me. Find another seat.”
“There is no other seat.”
“There’s a whole room of—" Hal looked around. For the first time, his sleep-deprived brain actually registered the designs. “Oh.”
“Move.”
“No.”
“Lantern.”
“Nope. Nope nope nope.”
or the one where a furniture mishap leaves exactly one good seat in the Watchtower lounge, Hal won't give it up, Bruce won't back down, and somewhere in three weeks of stubborn proximity, they both stop wanting the space and start wanting each other.

Summary
So if Bruce tugs him a little closer than necessary when they sleep, it speaks everything Hal knows Bruce cannot say out loud. In these moments, Hal does not necessarily need any assurance, or even an apology; the way Bruce holds him is just enough.
And if he wakes up again tomorrow, with no Bruce in sight, just his lingering scent over their bed, Hal still stays.
It's enough, Hal tries to convince himself. For now, it is enough.
