Summary
Life has not been the same since the Empire struck down the entire royal family nearly twenty years ago. It is similar, and it is good, but it is not the same. Imperials patrol nearly every inch of Lucis with their Magitek, inspecting each nook and cranny to ensure the peace, while the Lucian resistance Somnus rushes through the night, engaging in guerilla warfare against an enemy that has clearly already won. He doesn't think himself as someone to simply roll over and show his belly to their foe, but he is getting older, and already so high on the Imperial Watch List. He helps where he can, supplies what he can for those who are younger and have something more in them, but he stays firmly out of it. He is too busy besides, tending to his work and keeping his children out of trouble.
What can one man do, anyways, in a world that's far beyond his control?

Summary
"Master Țepeș."
"Good afternoon, Lisa."
His smirk curls a little further onto his face when she glances away from him to look at a nearby clock ticking on the wall. When she turns her gaze back to him, it's with a quirked eyebrow.
"I do believe it would be evening, now."
"In accordance with the clocks currently in the castle, you would be right."
She squints at him now, as if he is one of the texts she adores studying so with a particularly difficult to understand passage. She is quick as a whip when it comes to problem solving and inferring, and it doesn't take her long to deduce what he doesn't say.
"But not in accordance with clocks beyond the castle?"
"I have something to show you," is what he replies with, brushing off her question for the time being. "Something I think you may find interesting."

Summary
“I’m not scared of anything so long as you’re my friend, Sommy!”
And that garners a reaction Ardyn covets. Somnus’ face, though still red and splotchy and covered in tear tracks, lights up with a grin and a giggle he can’t stifle is pulled from his little chest. The sight of joy on Somnus’ face again makes his heart swell in just such a way that’s oh so warm and pleasant to the soul, an emotional balm during the steady march towards home and a hearty lecture.
“And I’ll never be scared of nothing, ‘cause we’ll be friends forever!”
“Friends forever!”
The laughter from Somnus that had once been a balm to his soul instead soured inside him, turning black and bitter like the coffee his mothers loved so dearly.
The remnants of his dreams- his memories- tickled at the back of his skull. They leave sour notes and blackened moods in its wake.
“Friends forever…” he whispers. “How foolish of me…”

Summary
Grief is a constant, now that his duty has been fulfilled. Grief of lost friends, a love who lost her life, grief of what maybe could have been had the Astrals been a little bit kinder.
But grief doesn't have to be all encompassing and painful. If he can ease even one person's grief, it would be worth it. And maybe, just maybe, the Astrals can be a little kinder.
It’s not clear if Ifrit’s smiling or snarling, but there is a new spark in him, and he leans forwards to match the Astrals next to him.
“How easy it is to forget the fire humans have for one another. I accept your humble plea, O King of Light. You shall have my power.”

Summary
Generally speaking, if it looks like a daemon and talks like a daemon, it's probably most definitely a daemon. Noctis is certain that person isn't a person anymore, but Ignis isn't so sure. It looked like a daemon, and howled like a daemon, but Ignis is very rarely wrong. Perhaps this daemon is not quite a daemon after all?

To never forgive and never forget leads her down a path she had been taught to stay clear of, and it's far too late to try and forgive now.

Summary
Everyone makes mistakes. It is how we grow, how we learn. Making mistakes is all a part of human nature.
But there is no justification for his mistakes.
There is no saying "I'm sorry" for what he's done.
How can you make mistakes, learn and grow from experience, if you fear your mistakes to begin with?
There is no turning back the dial. There is no moving on like nothing happened. Be it him or Xehanort, this body has crimes it must atone for.
For hurting loved ones. For damning entire worlds to darkness. For more than a decade of suffering and pain brought forth by his own hands.
For killing his father.
He wakes in a hospital bed, memories hazy and sparse. He's wrest his body, heart, and mind away from the darkness, but what he's done looms over him. And sometimes he wishes he hadn't woken up in that hospital bed.

Summary
From one life to another, we all must begin a journey. Be you a king, a prince, a servant, a warrior, or a commoner. All of us set out upon a journey. Whether or not we treasure that journey relies on the things we do, the things we see, the people we meet, and those we carry with us.
Gifted to him by his father, Noctis takes a few more people with him when he begins his journey. He hopes this journey is one to be treasured.
This AU of mine has also been affectionately nicknamed "Let's Go Sephiroth".

“Reach for me, Terra! Grab my hand!”
He blindly reaches his hand out, waving it around in hopes of catching his father’s hand.
“I’m scared!”
“It’s okay, Terra! Don’t be scared! Daddy’s here! I’m right here!” -

Summary
Perhaps if the world existed in a plane of reality where everything was just a little bit more to the left, Phoenix would be mentorless. Perhaps if things were just a little bit more to the left, Maya would be sisterless. Perhaps if reality was just a little bit more to the left, the Chief would have left the office in a body bag instead of a wheeled stretcher. Thankfully, things weren't just a little bit to the left. Phoenix still has his mentor, Maya still has her sister, and the Chief is still alive. Who knows what he would have done had things been just a little bit more to the left.

Summary
Her words broke off into a pained and mournful cry. She couldn’t tell if it was physical or emotional pain that brought tears to her eyes, but it did not matter. She cried. Tears turned hot on her flesh as the fires rose in a gust of wind around her, and another scream ripped from her. She couldn’t feel her legs any longer, but her hips were fresh against the flames. The fires reached higher once more, embers sparking on the ends of her cut and choppy hair, and as the gust faltered the fire fell. She did not dare open her eyes, somewhere inside her knowing that the fire would come back up to engulf her once again.

Summary
Two years have passed, and progress has been made. Houses and stables had been erected within the surrounding area of the Goddess Statue. The citizens of Skyloft have made themselves cozy in their new and peaceful world, but peace doesn't last for long. Danger lurks in every nook and cranny as they find out, and it comes with a vicious need for vengeance.
First of hopefully many works. I am trying my best. Please leave any creative criticism you have as I am rusty with my writing.
