Summary
"Why are they even here?" Eddie asks. "They don't fucking belong here." Eddie growls as he sees Phillip and Margaret slowly trailing behind Maddie.
"They are his parents Eddie" Hen says as if that's an acceptable answer.
"This bullshit facade they are putting on won't last. I guarantee it." Eddie says.
"You think so? They seemed to be trying at dinner the other night. They were better behaved than my dad was."
"Mark my words. If they stick around, I'll walk on one of Chris' Lego sets. Barefoot." Eddie responds.
"I'll take that bet." Hen says. "But I want video proof of you walking on a Lego set."
"Same stakes?" Eddie asks, and Hen nods. "Done!" Eddie says, smirking at Hen.

Summary
The room was quiet, and it was obviously a hospital room, ICU probably.
Buck turned around, and he could see a body lying on the bed, pale and hurt. Bruises all over his exposed arms, a tube down his throat, and his head wrapped with bandages. It was his body. Laying still, lifeless if it wasn’t for the machine pumping air into his lungs.
Was he dead?
“You aren’t dead.” There was a voice behind him, and he quickly turned, how did this person know what he was thinking?
There was a boy, about 8 years old calmly staring at him and Buck recognized him. He was familiar, of course, he was. How could Buck forget about him? It would haunt him for the rest of his life and apparently when he is dead as well.
“I’m sorry that I couldn’t save you.” It was the first words slipping out of his mouth.

Summary
Buck doesn’t know how to grieve Bobby Nash—or what to do with Bobby’s final words telling him the family would need him. He’s unraveling, and pretending he’s fine is only making it worse.
Eddie, on the other hand, only knows how to speak through anger. His hurt comes out sideways, sharp and unkind, and he hates that Buck’s the one who takes the brunt of it.
They both say things they don’t mean. And they want to make it right. But maybe right means more than what they were expecting.
After that argument in Don't Drink the Water.
